Her approach to training goes beyond teaching students how to operate a spray gun. Joanna Sheen is a dedicated spray tan professional and educator with over 15 years of experience and who is passionate about helping aspiring sunless artists develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in the spray tanning industry.
As the founder of Summer Sheen, Joanna began her spray tanning journey after experiencing firsthand the challenges of achieving a natural-looking tan for a fitness competition in 2009. That experience sparked her interest in sunless tanning and inspired her to explore different products, techniques, and training opportunities. After a year of research and education, she opened Summer Sheen in 2011 and built her business around specializing in custom spray tanning.
Over the years, Joanna has expanded her expertise beyond providing professional spray tan services to educating and mentoring other artists. Through hands-on instruction, she helps students understand proper application techniques, product selection, equipment, and the fundamentals of delivering beautiful, consistent results. Her approach emphasizes practical experience, detailed instruction, and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
